DV 202: Addressing Intimate Partner Violence: Awareness, Response, and Advocacy

This course provides an overview of practical approaches to working with Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). It explores various scenarios to illustrate how IPV presents in real-world practice settings, along with appropriate responses and calls to action.

You must correctly answer a question to advance to the next module. At the end of the course, a post-test must be passed with a score of at least 80% to receive a certificate of completion. You are allowed only two attempts before being required to retake the course.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

1. Identify real-life scenarios of IPV across diverse practice settings (healthcare, workplace, legal system, social services, etc.).
2. Assess risk factors for lethality.
3. Demonstrate appropriate and trauma-informed responses to DV.
4. Recognize legal and ethical considerations when addressing DV in various professional settings.
5. Develop a personal and professional call to action to advocate for IPV survivors and contribute to prevention efforts.
