DV 101: An Introduction to Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence

This course provides an overview and definitions of Domestic Violence (DV), explores the differences between Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), and examines the dynamics of abuse.

You must correctly answer a question to advance to the next module. At the end of the course, a post-test must be passed with a score of at least 80% to receive a certificate of completion. You are allowed only two attempts before being required to retake the course.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

1. Define Domestic Violence (DV) and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and explain their key distinctions.
2. Analyze the power and control dynamics that characterize abusive relationships.
3. Recognize common myths and misconceptions about DV.
4. Discuss barriers to leaving an abusive relationship and the associated risks.
